Position: NICU Case Manager
This is the core position spotlighted by CareNex Health Services and we are
always on the lookout for qualified full-time and part-time candidates. Our
NICU Case Managers work closely with hospital-based NICU case managers,
discharge planners, NICU nurses, therapists, social services and staff to
help meet the expansive need of patients, their families, insurers and the
associated medical groups. Through the highly-detailed CareNex
Advantage™ reviews, comprehensive patient clinical data can quickly
and securely be transmitted to CareNex Health Services client companies.
CareNex Health Services Case Managers often assist their hospital partners
in such areas as patient advocacy, insurance company liaison relationships
and post-discharge coordination.
Requirements:
•
Current Level III in-hospital NICU experience (RNs or RRTs)
• Current licensure and up-to-date health screenings
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Computer literacy
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Position: NICU Case Manager (Internal)
Location: Sherman Oaks, CA
Experienced NICU RN or RRT to assist in organization and completion of
clinical case reviews which includes case discussion with Neonatologists and
assignment of recommended of Level of Care and Length of Stay.
• Coordinate the
day-to-day operations of the Case Management office .
• Field frequent phone calls and direct to appropriate person.
• Problem solve and manage situations as directed in person and via the
phone.
• Copy, filing, mailings, computer entry, etc. as directed.
• Monitor supply levels, prepare orders and submit to designated persons.
• Case Review data entry into specialized NICU database.
• Communicate with Director, Regional Manager & Field Case Managers.
• Evaluate NICU case reviews and assign recommended Level of Care and Length
of Stay authorizations.
• Identify and review NICU case reviews with Neonatologists requiring MD to
MD communication.
• Assist in creating and distributing assignments for Field Case Managers.
• Prepare reports as directed.
• Complete tasks as directed by Director & Regional Manager.
• Participate in In-services as directed by Director or Regional Manager.
• Manage Office in absence of Director or Regional Manager.
• Communicate with client and hospital case managers
Requirements:
• RN or RRT with 5 years of recent NICU Level 3 experience.
• Ability to multi-task and complete various projects in a fast-paced
environment.
• Ability to adjust to and work in an environment of change and growth.
• Ability to work independently, under direction and as part of a team.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English via written and verbal.
• Bi-lingual communication abilities a plus.
• Ability to effectively communicate with physicians, medical personnel,
Directors, Managers, parents, vendors, etc.
• Ability to problem-solve, manage situations and make decisions within
guidelines via the phone and in person.
• Computer skills: Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Specialized NICU
Database Entry.
