How We Interface
with Our Clients' Hospital Networks
CareNex Neonatal Case Review Specialists (NCRS) function independently, using CareNex's high-tech data collection and communication devices. They work collaboratively as they interface with hospital-base personnel (case managers, nurses, discharge planners, social service representatives and others) in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Intermediate Care Nursery (ICN) and Specialty Care Nursery (SCN) of hospitals on behalf of our clients.
Each CareNex NCRS is highly-experienced in working with both hard copy and electronic medical records as they review and abstract a variety of source data. These include medical records, physician and nursing notes, respiratory care notes, discharge planning, social service and OT/PT notes.
Timely communication and coordination of services between hospital-base case management and payor-based case management/utilization review is emphasized throughout the workflow process.
The highly-detailed chart review by each CareNex NCRS enhances our clients' ability to assess ongoing medical necessity and authorize ongoing inpatent days in a timely fashion.
Through the highly-detailed CareNex Advantage™
reviews, comprehensive patient clinical data is quickly and securely
transmitted to CareNex client companies. This can often saves time
and redundant paperwork for the hospital staff.
The CareNex NCRS can often assist hospital staff in such areas as client company liaison relationships, and discharge coordination and follow-up.
Because the
information that CareNex Health Services supplies our clients is
delivered via CareNex Advantage™ in real time, it allows our clients
to be more responsive and efficient regarding communications to the
hospital about patient needs.
